Dilihat dari arah masuk pompa, jika motor berada di sisi kiri pompa, maka itu adalah transmisi CL, dan jika motor berada di sisi kanan pompa, maka itu adalah penggerak CR. Jika pompa dan motor memiliki basis yang sama, huruf &quot;Z&quot; berarti. Tetapi untuk pompa besar, karena berat dan volumenya sendiri, dalam hal ini, basis yang sama umumnya tidak lagi disediakan.
