The standard material of the Expeller of slurry pump is gray iron or ductile iron. The expeller can play a role in reducing the axial force. If the expeller is installed, the direction of the pressure force acting on the expeller is opposite to that acting on the impeller, which can offset part of the axial force. , so It also played a role in extending the life of the bearing.

Expeller Ring

The slurry expller ring is ususlly used together with the expller to form Expeller seal,and the expller ring is of the same material as the expller which is gray iron or ductile iron. But could update to A05 or other special materials upon the request.

Expelller Seal

The Expeller seal means that an open impeller is installed co-axially and oppositely near the back of the rear cover of the pump impeller. When the slurry pump is working, the expeller rotates with the main shaft of the pump, and the liquid in the expeller will also rotate together. The rotating liquid will generate an outward centrifugal force, which will cause the pressure of the sealing packings at the shaft seal to drop to normal pressure or negative pressure, the expeller will stop rotating when the slurry pump stops, and its centrifugal force will also disappear.
The power seal composed of the expeller and the expeller ring is cheap and easy to maintain, but the expeller seal also has disadvantages.
