Rubber Impeller
Overview
The rubber impeller is the core component of a horizontal slurry pump, responsible for generating the necessary pressure to effectively transport abrasive fluids and slurries. Due to the constant wear experienced by impellers during operation, selecting the right wear-resistant materials is critical to extending the impeller’s lifespan.
To meet the demands of slurry pumps handling high concentrations and highly abrasive materials, Kingda Rubber Impellers are made from a range of high-performance materials, including natural rubber, synthetic rubber, EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), and nitrile rubber. These materials are specially engineered to withstand the harshest pumping environments, ensuring exceptional wear resistance and reliability even during prolonged operation, ultimately enhancing the overall performance and longevity of the pump.
Kingda’s rubber slurry pump impellers are available in the same dimensions as high-chrome alloy impellers. Additionally, we offer hybrid slurry pumps with metal impellers upon request, further enhancing the versatility and durability of the equipment. Whether it’s all-rubber parts or metal-rubber composite parts, Kingda provides custom solutions designed to meet the specific requirements of various operating conditions.
With these high-performance rubber components, Kingda ensures that slurry pumps operate efficiently and remain durable even in the harshest environments, helping industries tackle complex and demanding slurry handling challenges.
Types of Kingda Impeller
Kingda Pump Group offers three types of impellers: open, semi-open, and closed, designed to meet various operational requirements.
- Open Impeller: No shroud, ideal for handling slurries with large particles or high viscosity.
- Semi-Open Impeller: Features a shroud on one side, designed for medium viscosity and moderate solid content conditions.
- Closed Impeller: Equipped with shrouds on both sides, forming a complete flow path for maximum efficiency. It is perfect for handling low-viscosity slurries with minimal particle content, meeting the demands for high-efficiency pumping.
Whether dealing with high-viscosity, particle-rich slurries, or low-viscosity, particle-free media, Kingda impellers deliver optimal performance and efficiency.

Rubber Impeller Material
Excellent Wear Resistance
Rubber impellers offer superior wear resistance, effectively extending the pump’s lifespan and reducing the cost of frequent impeller replacements.
Corrosion Resistance
They have strong resistance to corrosive substances like acids and alkalis, making them ideal for harsh operating environments.
Improved Efficiency
The flexibility of rubber impellers enhances the overall efficiency of the pump, enabling it to better handle complex working conditions.
Lightweight
Compared to metal impellers, rubber impellers are lighter, reducing equipment load and lowering energy consumption.
Easy Maintenance
Rubber impellers are less prone to damage and are easier to replace and maintain, which reduces maintenance costs.
