Gravel Pump

The Kingda KSG gravel pump is designed to handle highly abrasive slurries, from large particles to hard gravel. The KSG gravel pump can easily handle these applications.

The gravel pump’s excellent anti-clogging performance ensures long-term conveyance of abrasive slurries, including coarse particles, without clogging, minimizing downtime.

The KSG gravel pump’s robust solids handling capabilities enable it to handle the most demanding environments, ensuring efficient material handling in mining, dredging, and construction.

Understanding Sand and Gravel Pump

Gravel pumps are specialized slurry pumps designed for conveying large-particle materials. Compared to standard pumps, sand and gravel pumps offer superior abrasion and clogging resistance, making them suitable for harsh environments. They are primarily used to convey highly abrasive and large-particle materials that are difficult for ordinary slurry pumps to handle.

Sand and gravel pumps typically feature a large-channel design and anti-clogging impeller. Large blades and a large-diameter impeller ensure smooth conveying of high-solids slurries, and the wide flow path ensures excellent handling of gravel, pebbles, and ores.

Kingda KSG gravel pumps offer near-perfect particle handling, capable of pumping solids up to 300mm in diameter. This virtually eliminates the risk of clogging, minimizing maintenance and reducing overall operating costs.

To achieve an exceptionally long service life and lower total cost of ownership, we use high-chromium alloy for our gravel pump. The exceptional abrasion resistance of high-chromium alloy withstands the impact of hard gravel and reduces metal-cutting effects, significantly extending service life.

Thanks to the Kingda gravel pump’s excellent abrasion resistance and solids handling capacity, we’re proud to say it can handle even the harshest environments with ease.

The Kingda KSG gravel pumps is a horizontal centrifugal pump. Its operating principle is the same as that of a traditional centrifugal pump, relying on the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the impeller to move the liquid.

When the electric motor or diesel engine is started, the pump shaft drives the impeller. The high-speed rotation of the impeller generates centrifugal force, drawing liquid into the pump. After pressurization, the liquid is discharged through the outlet.

Of all the components in a gravel pump, the impeller and liner are core components. They not only impact the pump’s pumping efficiency but are also crucial to its lifespan.

We use ultra-wear-resistant high-chromium alloy for the impeller and liner. Its excellent corrosion resistance ensures long-term pumping of slurries containing gravel and sand without downtime or maintenance, minimizing user costs.

  • Single stage, Single suction, Cantilever, Horizontal structure
  • The outlet direction of the pump can be in any position of 360°, easy to install
  • Good cavitation and anti-abrasion
  • It is mainly used for the transportation of strongly abrasive materials whose particles are too large to be transported by ordinary slurry pumps

Why Choose Kingda Gravel Pump?

The Problems with Traditional Gravel Pumps

Short Service Life

Ordinary gravel pumps are not made of highly wear-resistant alloys. Prolonged use of gravel-containing slurries can severely wear the pump body, shortening its service life.

High Cost

When conveying mine tailings, the high-intensity conveying can accelerate wear on the core components of the gravel pump. Kingda uses high-chromium alloy for its impellers, maximizing the life of pump components.

Low Efficiency

While other manufacturers simply sell pumps, Kingda customizes the entire fluid conveying solution for its customers. If the gravel pump is not compatible with the entire conveying system, project productivity can be reduced.

Frequent Leakage

Long-term use of gravel slurries in ordinary gravel pumps can accelerate the aging of the sealing system, leading to frequent leaks in the gravel pumps, requiring frequent downtime for maintenance and significantly increasing operating costs.

Low Cost

Kingda KSG gravel pumps are designed to provide customers with high performance and low total cost of ownership. Kingda gravel pump adopts advanced design and technology to reduce energy consumption while improving energy efficiency. The overall cost of use can be reduced, making the total cost of ownership of the slurry pump lower.

Less Replacement Parts

Gravel slurry usually need to deal with media containing a large amount of sand and gravel particles, which will cause pump wear. The pump body and impeller are made of high-quality wear-resistant materials, which can increase the service life and reliability of the pump, and reduce maintenance costs and replacement parts costs.

Customized Solutions

Kingda Pump Group can provide customized gravel pump solutions according to the specific needs of customers. This means that customers can choose the best configuration suitable for their engineering projects, reducing unnecessary investment and use costs.

Sealing System

The sealing system of the gravel pump is essential to prevent the leakage of the medium in the pump. Kingda Pump Group KSG gravel pumps use advanced sealing technologies, such as mechanical seals or packing seals, which can ensure efficient pump operation and reduce energy and maintenance costs caused by leakage.

Kingda KSG series gravel pumps are single-stage, single-suction, cantilever, horizontal structure. The pump body, the pump cover and the connecting plate are connected by a clamp band. The lubrication form adopts grease lubrication.

The gravel pump and driver can choose direct-coupled transmission, V-belt transmission, hydraulic coupling transmission and reducer transmission.

The outlet direction of the pump can be in any position of 360°, which has the advantages of convenient installation, good cavitation performance and anti-abrasion. The inlets of all types of pumps are horizontal. Seen from the transmission direction, the pumps rotate clockwise, and they can also rotate counterclockwise as required.
