The cyclone separates the materials in the slurry by the action of centrifugal force and centripetal buoyancy, and according to the density characteristics of the solid particles in the slurry.
The materials with smaller density and particle size will move upward and flow out from the overflow pipe. The coarse materials will flow downward along the cyclone wall under the action of centrifugal force and be discharged from the underflow, finally achieving the purpose of separation.
During the separation process, the cyclone feed pump needs to provide a constant pressure to the inlet of the hydrocyclone to prevent the cyclone feed pump from sucking in air due to pressure fluctuations, forming an airlock, and thus causing damage to the cyclone.
